Cold rolled sheet is also known as CRC or CRS. At its origins, it is a metallurgical product obtained through the technological process of cold rolling. As part of the production flow, the rolled steel strip is subjected to a chemical pickling treatment. This process involves the removal of the oxide layer from the surface of the tape. In order to protect the material against the action of corrosive factors, an oily layer is applied to the entire surface, easy to remove when processing the material.
Cold rolled steel sheet made of carbon steel is produced in rolls and sold in the form of sheets, in a varied range of sizes. It is a strong, resistant, durable material, extremely malleable, easy to process, replace and at the same time recyclable. It presents an excellent price level and offers multiple technical advantages in the processing process. At the same time, it benefits from a clean appearance of the surface and superior physical-mechanical properties compared to other similar materials.
Cold rolled plate is used specifically for the production of parts or component elements of various metal structures, especially those that remain visible.
